Had a chat with a 25 year vet that flipped my fade game
Honestly, I've been doing cuts for about 4 years now and thought my fades were solid. Last Tuesday this older barber, Marcus, came into the shop in Nashville and watched me finish a skin fade on a regular. He just said 'your blend is clean but your weight line is sitting too high, you're chasing the skull instead of following the growth pattern.' I paid $40 for a seminar last spring that didn't teach me half of what that one sentence did. Now I'm dropping my guards a half step earlier and checking the crown from three angles before I even touch the clippers. Has anyone else had a random comment from a seasoned barber that totally restructured how they approach a cut?
