That clipper oil tip from a customer saved my whole Monday rush
A guy waiting for a fade last week told me to warm the oil bottle in my pocket for five minutes before lubing the blades, and I laughed it off until I tried it on the third cut. The clippers ran way smoother and quieter through thick hair, no snagging on that one kid who flinches every time. Anyone else got weird little tricks from clients that actually worked out better than what you learned in barber school?

And that reminds me of this older lady who comes in every six weeks, she told me to keep my comb in my back pocket so it stays warm, feels way better on the scalp than a cold metal comb. I thought she was crazy but now I do it all winter long, clients actually relax into the chair instead of tensing up. Funny how the folks just sitting there for thirty minutes sometimes know more than the two year program did.
