Wasted $120 on a fancy clipper kit I never needed

Last month I bought this big set of cordless clippers with all the attachments, thought it would level up my fade game. Turned out the motor is way too weak for thick hair, it kept bogging down on my third client of the day. I had to switch back to my old wired Wahl mid-cut and the guy was super patient about it, but I felt like an idiot. The store wouldn't take it back because I'd already used it on real heads, so that's $120 gone. My old clipper does the job fine, I just got caught up in the shiny new gear hype. Anyone else bought something premium that straight up underperformed? What did you do with it, sell it or just eat the loss?

Did you check if the motor issue is just a power thing or maybe a bad batch? I had a similar thing happen with a cordless trimmer that sounded fine in the box but died on the first heavy beard. Since you already used it, selling it might be a hassle, but listing it online as a "light duty" tool could get you half your money back. Honestly, the cheaper the clipper, the more I trust it for constant work. It's a hard lesson, but at least you know for next time to test it on a wet towel or something before you commit to real clients.
