My reels tanked for 4 days straight until I spotted the timezone bug
Ngl, I was losing it in my tiny Brooklyn apartment last Tuesday. Every reel I posted between 7 and 9 PM got like 12 views, which is brutal when you usually hit 2k. I checked my analytics dashboard and realized my scheduler was still set to Pacific time from a client project last month. So my 'evening' posts were going live at 10 PM on the east coast, which is basically the dead zone for my audience. I fixed the timezone, reposted the same video the next day at 8 PM sharp, and it pulled 1,800 views in 3 hours. Has anyone else gotten burned by a hidden setting like that in their scheduling app?

Flip it around for a second. Maybe the 7 to 9 PM slot was never your real sweet spot, and the 10 PM drop was actually the test that told you something. If the same video flopped at 10 PM but blew up at 8 PM, that's not about a bug, that's about your audience's actual habits changing week to week. I mean, blaming the timezone feels easy, but you'd probably see the same drop if you posted at 7 PM on a random Tuesday next month.

Wait till you post the same video at 3 AM and it somehow gets triple the views, then tell me about "audience habits" with a straight face. Honestly, at this point I'm convinced the algorithm just rolls dice and picks a random video to bless each week. But sure, let's keep pretending a 10 PM drop is some deep lesson instead of just bad luck.
