Posting at 6:47am on a Sunday got me 4x the reach for zero effort
Honestly I used to post whenever I felt like it, usually weeknights around 9pm. Last month I tried setting an alarm for 6:30am on a Sunday and put up a tutorial about editing Reels captions. It pulled 12,000 views by Monday night, my usual posts are lucky to hit 3,000. I think the algorithm loves low competition hours in US timezones, but has anyone else seen different results with weird posting times like 4am or lunchbreak on a Tuesday?
Have you ever tried posting during a major sports event? I noticed weirdly good engagement during the World Cup final a couple years back, everyone was watching the game but still doomscrolling during halftime. Same thing happened to me on Thanksgiving morning, I put up a quick kitchen tip video and it did numbers while people were waiting for their turkey to cook. The algorithm seems to love when everyone's distracted but still holding their phones, like they're bored but not in a "let me read long stuff" mood. Maybe try posting when your audience is half-watching something else, that's been my sweet spot lately.
