Showerthought: I was posting at 9am for 8 months like a chump
I run a small woodworking page in Bellingham and I always dropped new posts at 9am sharp because some blog said that was peak time, then one Tuesday I posted a shop tour at 6:45pm on a whim and it hit 40k views while my morning stuff was lucky to get 900. Turns out my crowd is scrolling after dinner, not during their coffee break, and I felt like such a dope for not checking my own insights tab this whole time. What time did you figure out your actual audience was awake, and did you find it by accident too?
Ha, I was the exact opposite and swore mornings were king for like two years. I ran a little local blog and kept forcing 7am posts because some "best time to post" chart told me so, and my numbers were flat the whole time. Then I got busy one week and started posting around 8 or 9 at night, and suddenly comments and shares doubled, which blew my whole theory up. Never bothered to open my own stats page until that happened, which is kind of embarrassing to admit.
