Dished my wheel backward for 2 years, hub flange told me
I was fixing up an old 8 speed wheel last month and kept getting a wobble I couldn't true out. Turns out I had the dishing tool set to the wrong side, so the rim sat way off center the whole time. I only caught it when I checked the hub flange spacing and did the math, 135mm dropouts need the rim shifted 4.5mm, not centered. Anyone else ever run a mis-dished wheel that long and wonder why the brake rub never went away?
