Chick-fil-A drive-thru guy flipped my whole system for dealing with my GM
Stood in line at the one on Highway 9 in Woodstock on a Friday and watched this kid hand out orders from memory, no screen, no notes, just calling names off the bag. It hit me that I've been writing down every single thing my manager says like some kind of court reporter, when what I really need is to just hear the ask and answer it straight. Next day I tried it in a 1:1 and he actually said 'ok, cool' and moved on instead of re-explaining three more times. Has anyone else dropped the notes and just locked in on listening, or did that come back to bite you later?
