Two Day Paperwork Chase for a Simple Desk Move
Last month at my company in Austin, they relocated me to a new floor and I asked for a standing desk. The facilities team said it would take 48 hours. Fourteen working days later, I finally got it after pinging six different managers and resubmitting the same form three times in the internal portal. The kicker is one guy in a different department had the authority the whole time but nobody listed him on the job ticket. Has anyone else spent three weeks just to get basic equipment approved through layers of corporate red tape?

Did you ever find out why that one guy wasn't listed on the ticket, or is that just standard for your place? Because that sounds less like red tape and more like someone forgot to update a spreadsheet, and you paid for it with two weeks of your time. Seems like the real problem is nobody owns the process from start to finish.
