inJust realized the self checkout machines are making me work harder than the cashiers ever did
Honestly, my buddy Dave tried self checkout at Walmart last week and ended up in this whole weird standoff with the scale. He put his bag of apples down and the thing kept yelling "unexpected item in bagging area" like he was committing a crime. He stood there holding a single banana, arguing with the screen, and finally a kid from the dairy aisle came over and just pressed one button and it was fine. Dave said he felt like the machine was judging his produce choices, and now he just goes to the regular line every time.

inWhy does everyone insist on preheating air fryers?
Wait, you're telling me she actually stood there for 10 minutes waiting for it to heat up? That's insane. Who has time for that, especially with frozen fries that are gonna cook either way?

inI used to think expensive beans were a waste until I tried a single origin Ethiopian
What nobody talks about is the roast date mattering way more than the price tag or origin. I had this snob friend who swore by $25 bags of single origin beans from some boutique roaster, then I bought a $12 medium roast from a local place that was roasted 3 days before I opened it. The difference was insane - the cheap bag that was fresh destroyed the expensive one that had sat on a shelf for 6 weeks. I think most folks waste money on fancy beans that are already stale because they buy from stores that don't rotate stock. Now I just buy whatever's on sale at the co-op as long as it's roasted within the last 2 weeks, and it's been great.

inPSA: Check your fuel filters before you blame the injection pump
Hang onto that gauge reading because modern sensors are usually more reliable than we give them credit for. A loss of power on hills with a clean gauge more often points to something like a weak lift pump or a restriction in the tank vent. Tbh it's way too easy to throw parts at it when the real issue is a 20 dollar check valve or a kinked line.

inPassed 10,000 square feet of carpet installed this morning
Wait, does your back actually make a noise when you bend over now? I hit 35 and suddenly mine started randomly clicking like a keyboard every time I pick something up.
