I used to buy chicken breasts every week, now I grab the dark meat and my grocery bill dropped $30
For a long time I was stuck on boneless skinless breasts because that's what every recipe seemed to call for. Then about 4 months ago I started grabbing thighs and drumsticks instead since they were running $1.29 a pound at the Market Street store near me versus $4.49 for the breasts. The meat tastes better, it doesn't dry out when I reheat it for lunch, and that $30 a week adds up fast when you're feeding a family of four. I'm not saying breasts are bad, but I want to know if anyone else swapped and never went back.
