Copay for my EpiPen went from $25 to $210 overnight, pharmacy said it's a tier change
I refilled my EpiPen last Tuesday at Walgreens in Austin and the price just jumped because my insurer moved it to a higher tier, no warning or letter beforehand. Has anyone else had a surprise tier change like this, and did calling your insurance company actually get it reversed?
Call them and push hard, most of the time it’s a mistake or they’ll throw a courtesy override if you’re patient. This whole tier shuffle feels like a game where we’re just the ones paying for their guesswork.
Three callbacks last week and each one took over twenty minutes just to get a human who could actually do anything. It's like the whole customer service world runs on making us fight for stuff that should just work in the first place. Maybe it's the same everywhere now, you gotta prove you're annoyed enough before anyone takes you serious.
