Just realized my $35 inhaler went up to $280 the exact month the generic came out
Everyone keeps saying generics make drugs cheaper but my Walgreens in Columbus charged me $280 for the same albuterol in March that cost $35 in January, right when the generic hit the shelf. Turns out the pharmacy benefit manager sets the price, not the drug maker, and nobody at the counter could explain why the generic costs more than the brand did. Has anyone actually gotten a cheaper inhaler since the generic came out or is it just me?
