Stop splitting takeout with friends until you read this

I used to Venmo request right after ordering, but last month my friend sent me a screenshot of the receipt with a 22% tip added and the delivery fee split weirdly, and I ended up paying $14 more than my food cost. Now I ask for a photo of the itemized receipt before anyone sends money, has anyone else gotten burned by hidden fees on shared orders?
