Can we talk about how DVDs beat streaming for actually finishing a show?
I grabbed the full first season of The Wire on DVD from a thrift store in Austin for 5 bucks. With streaming, I'd watch two episodes and then get sucked into scrolling for something else. With the discs, I had to get up and swap them, so I actually sat through the whole season in about two weeks. There was no autoplay pulling me into a new show, and no trailers spoiling stuff. Did anyone else have a similar thing happen when they switched back to physical media, or is it just me being old?
