Serious question, a pawn shop guy in Toledo told me my SNES cart needed a new battery 6 years ago and he was right
Back in 2019 I brought my copy of Chrono Trigger into a little shop off Sylvania Ave because it wouldn't hold a save anymore. The guy behind the counter looked at it for maybe 10 seconds and said "that battery's got maybe two months left, swap it now before you lose everything." I ignored him for a while, then finally cracked it open with a $4 soldering iron and a tabbed battery from the hardware store and it's still holding saves today. Honestly the fix took me 20 minutes and I felt like a genius. Sort of a small win but it saved a save file I'd sunk about 60 hours into. Any of you ever had a random shop person call it exactly right like that?
