Spent $60 on a used Sega Genesis at a flea market in Dayton and it still works better than my cousin's new console

Found a model 1 Genesis at a flea market in Dayton for $60, and it came with Sonic 2 and a controller that actually works. My cousin paid $500 for a new console last Christmas and it already needs updates that take a whole evening. I have been playing Streets of Rage 2 on this thing for three weeks and it has never once froze or asked me to log in. Who else still runs their old cartridge systems as their main setup instead of the new stuff?
