Just had a flashback to trying to laminate my old shopping list for fun and it came out looking like a wrinkled alien artifact. My attempt on Monopoly money ended with all the bills stuck together in a sad, plasticky brick. Maybe some of us just have a reverse Midas touch for this stuff, where everything we try to preserve turns into a sticky mess. You'd think it would be simple, but then your Scrabble tiles look like they have a skin condition. The home laminator now mostly guards my closet, thinking about what it did wrong.
Oh man, laminators are trickier than they look, right? After @henrydixon's Monopoly money story, I tried laminating some recipe cards and the edges bubbled up instantly. My kitchen tips are now sealed inside a wavy plastic tomb. That little machine has way too much power for its own good!
