The first time I used a timer for setup I felt insane, now it's the only way I run game night
Back in 2023 I'd spend 45 minutes explaining rules while people checked their phones, then last year I started setting up every game before guests even arrive and using a 10 minute timer for the teach. Has anyone else switched to pre-setup and found their group actually plays longer instead of checking the clock?
Ha! Ten minutes for the teach sounds generous, I usually just shout the win condition and let the chaos sort itself out.
But yeah, pre-setup is the real game changer, people show up ready to play instead of ready to nap.
Now if only I could pre-setup the snacks without them disappearing before game one.
