Hot take: our club's bonus hole should be stroke play, not closest to the pin
I saw a guy at Twin Lakes chip in from 40 feet on the bonus hole last Saturday and lose the tiebreaker anyway since it was closest to the pin. Curious if other clubs run it as a mini hole with real strokes, or if we're the odd ones out.
I had a buddy lose the same way at his club when they ran closest to the pin, he chipped in from off the green and still lost to a guy sitting 6 inches away. Seems like most places I know do use real strokes for the bonus hole so you're not the odd ones out.
