I think the bonus hole at Crestwood ruined the 18th hole's drama since they added it three years ago
Before that extra par 3 went in, the final hole decided everything and now people just treat it like a warmup for a gimmick, has anyone else noticed their regular round losing its edge?
Spent my last round on 18 thinking I had a shot at breaking 90 for once, then sliced my tee shot into the wrong fairway and finished with a snowman. So for me the hole has always been a warmup for a good old fashioned meltdown, bonus hole or not. Honestly I think I would miss the extra chance to embarrass myself with a triple bogey on a par 3 that's supposed to be easy.
Wait, you played 18 and didn't realize until the last hole you were in contention to break 90? That's a special kind of math denial right there. I respect that level of strategic ignorance.
