Played a bonus hole in Tulsa that was only 68 yards and somehow took me 5 shots
The club added a short bonus hole behind the 9th green for a Friday night skins game, and I figured my wedge game would eat it up. I hit the green in one, then four putts later I walked off with a 5 because the pin was cut on a slope that made downhill putts slide off the front. Has anyone else run into a bonus hole where the green is way harder than the yardage suggests, or was this just my bad luck?
Four putts from one green isn't bad luck, that's a pin placement that shouldn't exist on a 68 yard hole. A bonus hole should be a fun little gimme, not a tricked out green where you pray to two putt. Whoever cut that pin knew exactly what they were doing.
