Why does nobody talk about the bonus hole pin being movable mid round

Played at a course outside Tulsa on Saturday and a guy in my group told me the club moves the bonus hole pin between groups during tiebreakers to keep it fair. I always thought the pin was set once in the morning like every other hole, so this was news to me. Does your club move the bonus pin around, or does it stay put all day?

Wow, that would make total sense for tiebreakers! If the pin stays in one spot and you get a bunch of groups going through in a shootout, the first group has a huge edge because they see the same pin the whole day while later groups get nothing. Moving it between groups keeps everyone guessing the same way, so the guy in your group might be onto something. I'm going to ask my club pro next time I'm out there because now I'm curious if we do this too.
