Our book club argued for 40 minutes in 2019 about whether a book had to be "liked," and last Tuesday we finished one in 25 minutes
Back in 2019, our group in Boise would burn an hour easy on stuff like if a sad ending ruined a book, and half of us left annoyed. Last Tuesday we wrapped The Remains of the Day in 25 minutes, and nobody even pushed back when Dana said she didn't enjoy it but still thought it was great. I think the shift came when we started picking the next book together at the end of each meeting instead of one person surprising us. Has your club gotten quieter too, or did you all just get tired of fighting about the same stuff?
