Am I the only one who thinks rounded spines on journals look sloppy?

Spent Saturday rebacking a 1920s ledger with a flat spine and it sits cleaner on the shelf than anything I've cased in with a round. Everyone at the bench calls me crazy, but I'll take a crisp square edge over a curve any day, so what's your case for rounding?
