Serious question, how long should fixing a warped text block actually take?
I spent like 8 hours last Sunday trying to flatten a warped text block from a 1940s novel using humidity and weights. Half the forums say it takes 2 hours, others say 2 days. What's your real world experience with this?

Honestly, just leave it under weight for a week and stop stressing.

Wait, a whole week? That seems like way too long to just sit there and do nothing, doesn't it? I mean, if you're leaving it under weight for seven days, what happens if it's already good after three or four? You're just wasting time for no reason, and that's gotta be frustrating for someone like @the_leo who's already three days in. I get that patience is part of it, but there's got to be a faster way to check without ruining the whole thing. A week feels like an eternity when you're excited about something, you know? I'd rather mess up early than sit and wonder for that long.
