I used to just dump water in whenever the soil looked dry, which was really me guessing. Since I started checking with my finger every Sunday morning, my golden pothos on the kitchen shelf in Sacramento has put out three leaves on one vine alone. Turns out the dry-out period between waterings matters way more than the amount I pour in. How do you all decide when it's time, do you go by the soil or the weight of the pot?
