The $6 fern from the Grand Rapids flea market that nearly died in my car
Left it in a hot car for two hours after a June flea market run and the fronds curled up by evening, so I soaked the root ball in the sink overnight, snipped the dead bits, stuck it in a north window, and it pushed out three new fiddleheads in about ten days, which has me wondering if anyone else has rescued a bargain plant from their own bad parking lot decision.

My $4 tomato plant survived a trunk nap too, so we're both plant criminals now.
