Bought a $30 countertop pizza oven on a whim, and my first frozen pizza came out raw on one side
I grabbed this little 12 inch pizza oven off a clearance rack in Boise because it was marked down from $89 and I figured why not. First time I used it I set it to 400 like the box said and let a frozen pizza run for 18 minutes, but the crust on the left side was still doughy while the right edge got burnt black. Turns out you have to rotate the thing halfway through, and the manual buried that info on page 6 in tiny print. Now I spin it every 4 minutes and it works fine, but I had to eat two cardboard dinners to figure that out. Anyone else own one of these little countertop ovens and know a better temp setting so I stop babysitting it?
Read somewhere that putting a pizza stone or even a cheap unglazed tile in these little ovens evens out the heat a lot. Tbh the spin trick is still gonna be needed though, those elements just run hot on one side.
