Found a 1950s brick match at a salvage yard in Tulsa
We're patching a 100 year old house in the Riverside district and the original brick is a soft red with a sand texture. Spent 2 weeks calling suppliers and nobody had anything close. Drove to a salvage yard outside Tulsa on a tip from an old mason and they had a whole pallet of the same era brick from a demolished school. Color is dead on but the size runs a quarter inch bigger than modern standard. Is that normal for old brick, and should I cut them down or just adjust the mortar joints to make it work?
