Found a simple trick to keep mortar from drying out on hot days in Phoenix
I was fighting with mortar drying way too fast on a 105 degree job near the Camelback area. Someone told me to throw a couple wet towels over the mortar board between loads. Kept it workable for an extra 20 minutes easy. Anyone else do this or have a better fix for the heat?

Buddy of mine in Flagstaff told me he keeps a spray bottle with ice water and mists the towels every few minutes. @aaron_perry that trick you mentioned is solid though, kind of mad I didn't figure it out sooner myself.
