That 20 dollar trowel saved my whole Saturday
Was fighting a wall in Austin where the mortar kept sticking to my old trowel, making a mess of every joint. Swapped to a Marshalltown with the curved handle and finished 80 bricks in 2 hours without one smear. Any of y'all got a favorite trowel shape for clay-heavy mortar?

Honestly, I gotta disagree with the curved handle hype, those straight ones give me way more control in sticky clay. Tbh, the shape never saved me, it’s all about keeping the blade wet enough.
