Am I the only one who dropped $70 on a chest freezer and it paid for itself in 3 months?
I was tight on cash back in January but took a chance on a small 5 cubic foot freezer for $70 off a guy on Facebook Marketplace. My grocery bill was around $110 a week for two people and it was killing me, so I started buying meat in bulk when it went on sale at the store down the street and freezing half of it. Last week I added it up and my weekly bill is down to about $65 now, mostly because I stopped throwing out chicken and veggies that went bad in the fridge. The thing that bugs me is I put off buying one for years because I figured it was a dumb splurge. Anyone else hold off on a small kitchen buy and regret waiting so long?
