Frozen veggie packs saved my grocery budget, I was a hater for years
I used to think buying frozen broccoli and peas was for people who gave up on cooking. Then last month I did the math on my receipt from Kroger. Fresh broccoli was $2.49 a head, I used half and tossed the rest. A 12 oz bag of frozen florets was $1.29 and I used exactly what I needed, no waste. Same with spinach, I can grab a handful for a frittata without the rest going slimy in three days. Took me 5 years to admit this works. Anyone else switch sides on frozen after wasting too much fresh stuff?
