Last week I fed my family of 4 for under $40 using only stuff from Aldi
I planned out 5 dinners based on their weekly deals (chicken thighs for $1.79/lb, rice, frozen veggies, and cans of tomatoes) and somehow we didn't get bored, has anyone else tried stretching a single store's sale ad into a full week?

Wait hold up, 5 dinners for a family of 4 for under 40 bucks? That's wild. Honestly I didn't even know you could do that without just eating plain rice and beans every night.

Gotta admit I was pretty skeptical at first too. Like I figured any meal plan under 10 bucks a meal had to be nothing but pasta and sauce or something. But I gave it a shot and was surprised how much you can do with lentils, eggs, and buying produce from the discount rack at the grocery store. The trick is skipping pre-made stuff and cooking from scratch, which takes more time but saves a ton of cash. Still not gonna lie, it takes some planning, but it's not just rice and beans all week if you do it right.
