Showerthought: that $19 airport shuttle in Cancun was the worst 2 hours of my trip
Booked the cheap shared shuttle from the Cancun airport to my hostel in Playa del Carmen to save money, and it took 2 hours because we stopped at 6 different resorts first. A private van was $45 total and I would've split it with 2 other people from my hostel for $15 each, which is basically the same price. I lost half a beach day and got stuck next to a guy who wouldn't stop talking about his timeshare presentation. Has anyone else done the math on shared shuttles vs just splitting a private ride?
