My aunt's 2017 advice about monthly reviews finally paid off
Back in 2017, my aunt who journals with actual paper and a ruler told me I was wasting time with daily logs and should do a proper monthly review every single month. I shrugged it off for about 4 years, treating it as optional and skipping most of them. Then last March I finally sat down with my old notebooks and saw the same three tasks kept rolling over for 14 months. She was right that the monthly review is where the real planning happens, not the daily scramble. Now I block out 40 minutes on the last Sunday of every month, no exceptions. Has anyone else had advice they ignored for years and then realized was dead on when they finally tried it?
