Our email list grew by 312 people in 8 weeks after I fixed one line on the signup form
I run marketing for a small landscaping company in Boise and our list had been stuck around 600 for a long time. Back in January I changed the signup button text from "Submit" to "Get a free yard care checklist" and swapped the form from 5 fields down to just name and email. Over the next 8 weeks we added 312 new contacts and about a third of them booked a consult. I almost didn't bother testing something so small, but the old form was basically asking people to do homework before they got anything. Has anyone tried trading a simple download for an email and seen a similar jump, or did it fizzle after the first wave?
