Spent $2,000 on Facebook ads for my local bakery and got zero sales... what went wrong?
Last month I ran a campaign targeting people within 5 miles of my shop in Portland, but all I got was a bunch of likes and no actual orders... Has anyone else seen ads just not convert even with the right targeting?

lol honestly I used to be one of those people who was like "just target locally and it'll work" but man was I wrong. I ran a similar campaign for my friend's coffee shop last year with the same 5 mile radius thing and got basically nothing except a bunch of random likes from people who probably just clicked because the ad was pretty. The real kicker was when we actually tested some different ad types instead of just the engagement one and ended up getting walk-ins from like 3 people who said they saw a simple "get 20% off your first order" ad on Instagram. Targeting alone doesn't mean squat if your offer isn't punchy enough or your ad format is wrong.
