The Omaha client who asked for five revisions before saying 'we liked the first one'
Back in March I was pitching a local coffee chain in Omaha. We did their social ads, landing page, email blast. Client kept asking for tweaks, new colors, shorter copy. After the 5th round they said 'actually we liked the first version, can you just send that?' I billed them for 10 hours of extra work they never asked me to stop. Has anyone else had a client waste your time like that and still expect the same invoice as the original quote?
My record is four rounds on a logo, then they picked the very first sketch I did in ten minutes. I guess that's the job sometimes, we all end up being paid for the ride not the finish line. At least you got paid for the extra hours, all I got was a headache and a lesson about showing my early drafts less.
