TIL a customer who runs a hardware store told me to stop chasing new leads for 2 months
I was dropping off some flyers at his shop in Tucson and he said he'd spent $3,000 on ads last year and got nothing, but a plain email to his old buyer list brought back 11 orders in a month. He showed me the receipts on his phone, and the whole thing was just a short note asking if they needed anything for spring. Made me wonder how much money gets burned on new traffic when the old list is sitting there. Do you hit your past customers first, or is that just me overthinking it?
