inAm I the only one who got called 'selfish' for turning down a 2am sky watch in Tucson?
Why do these sky people always pick the worst times? My old roommate did the same thing, shook me awake at 3am because he saw a "craft" over the desert and wanted me to drive him out past Ajo. I had a shift at 7 and told him no, and he gave me this whole speech about how I was "blocking the truth." Then the next week he did the same thing to our other buddy and the guy actually went. Guess what they saw? A drone. That's it. Just a drone. So yeah, you did nothing wrong. Rick can watch the sky by himself at 2am.

inFilm astro shots to digital, the difference still gets me
Man people really romanticize waiting a week for results like it was some profound experience. It was just slow, not deep. You paid money to maybe get a blurry streak of light and called it magic because you had no other choice. I get the nostalgia for the envelope thing but that's just your brain polishing a memory of being annoyed and broke. The instant feedback on a digital screen is objectively better for actually learning what works. Sentimentality is fine but let's not pretend tedious was some kind of gift.

inMy boss hated my two-truths-and-a-lie icebreaker, so now I read the room
Wait, you got WRITTEN UP for saying you cried in a supply closet? That's wild. Like, what exactly did your boss think was "unsafe" about it? Was it the crying part or the supply closet part that crossed the line? I'm genuinely trying to figure out if they thought you were gonna make other people cry or if admitting to having feelings at work is now a fireable offense. Because if that's the bar, I should probably delete my entire LinkedIn history.
