Drawer slides failed on a $4k bathroom vanity, do I rebuild or replace?

Last Tuesday I installed a custom vanity in a client's house in Fort Collins. The soft close undermount slides were rated for 100 pounds but the drawer was loaded with towels and toiletries, maybe 60 max. By Friday the right slide buckled inward and the drawer dropped at a weird angle. I pulled the whole unit out and found the mounting screws had stripped the particle board side panel. Now I'm arguing with myself whether I should rebuild the box with plywood and keep the slides, or just rip out the slides and swap in epoxy coated side mount hardware. Has anyone else had a newer soft close slide fail this fast on a fresh build?

Did your guy torque those screws down with an impact driver?
