Question about old apartment building wiring in St. Louis
I was working in a 1920s apartment building in St. Louis last week and the old plaster walls were a real challenge. I found the original coaxial runs were stapled with these huge, old metal staples right against the studs. It took me about two hours just to fish one new line through a single wall because of all the blockages. I ended up using a flexible glow rod and a ton of patience to get past a fire block. Has anyone else run into this kind of setup and found a better way to handle it?

Flexible glow rod and a ton of patience" sounds like the title of my last home repair project.

Add a few choice words for good measure.
