Cranking down on aperture rings felt wrong until a sticky blade fix

I used to baby those rings, but a firm twist cleared a jam and changed my mind, so how do you handle stiff camera parts?

Overthinking a simple mechanical fix seems a bit much.

Man, that reminds me of my buddy last summer... he spent three whole days taking apart his lawnmower engine, convinced the carb was shot. Bought all new gaskets, watched a million videos. @flores.charlie, turns out the kill switch wire had just jiggled loose. Sometimes the fix is stupid simple, but you talk yourself into the most complicated answer first.

Totally, my cousin replaced his entire ignition coil before realizing the spark plug wire was just loose. It's always the simple stuff, right @flores.charlie?

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. You get so stuck on the idea of a big, expensive problem that you just skip right over checking the easy stuff. @the_ryan's story about the lawnmower kill switch is the perfect example of that. It's like your brain just refuses to believe the solution could be that simple and free. You end up wasting so much time and money on the hard fix for nothing.
