A ranger's critique made me ditch my camp stove for good
Back in March at Big Bend, a ranger watched me struggle with my canister stove in 30 mph wind and said 'you're fighting the weather instead of working with it.' I switched to a simple alcohol stove for that trip and haven't looked back since. Has anyone else had a gear habit broken by an offhand comment from a pro?
