If a bag claims 15 degrees but you're shivering at 30, that's not you being a wimp, that's a spec sheet lying, so check the EN rating before you trust the number on the tag.
The temp rating thing gets weird when you look at who tests the bags. EN ratings come from a lab with a heated dummy wearing a base layer, and the "comfort" number is for a cold sleeper while the "lower limit" is for a warm sleeper. So two people in the same bag on the same night can have totally different nights. What gets me is bags rated for men vs women, where the women's version is often the same bag with more down and a shorter length, yet it costs more. The whole scale is built around one body type and everyone else is just guessing.
