The DEI booth at my alma mater got replaced by a crypto table in 4 years
I went back for homecoming at Ohio State last fall and walked past the student union where there used to be like 15 tables of clubs doing recruitment, petitions, all that. In 2019 there was a group handing out flyers about free speech on campus, people were arguing, it felt alive. Now that same corner has one table with a guy trying to get students to sign up for a mining pool app. I get that funding dried up and the administration cracked down on tabling rules, but it feels like the actual debate left and vapid hustle culture moved in. Has anyone else noticed their old campus spots lost the fight energy, or am I just romanticizing the past?

15 tables down to 1 is rough, but honestly my campus lost its fight energy way before crypto showed up. We had a guy in a hot dog suit yelling at a preacher every Tuesday and now that corner just has a smoothie cart. Maybe we are just old now and the kids are fighting on their phones instead of in the quad lol.
