My work laptop died mid-meeting and I laughed harder than I should have
During a Zoom call with 14 people last Tuesday, my three year old laptop blue screened right as my boss asked for my update. I sat there staring at the black screen and could not stop giggling because it was so perfectly bad timing. Is it still okay to find humor in tech failures when they happen at the worst possible moment, or am I just being a jerk about it?

Tech fails always pick the worst moment, it's like they have a sixth sense for drama. My phone once died right as I was about to show a parking attendant my ticket, and I just stood there laughing with my arms out. Honestly, laughing is the only way to stay sane when everything around you breaks at the exact second you need it most. It's not being a jerk, it's just accepting that technology has its own weird timing. Plus, we've all been on the other side of that Zoom call, and most people are probably thinking "thank god it wasn't me." So no, you're not wrong, you're just seeing the pattern that life is basically a series of small, absurd interruptions.
