Tried to fix a clogged toilet at my buddy Dave's place last weekend with a cheap plunger from Dollar General
I was over at Dave's house in Arlington for game night and his toilet backed up right after Matt went in there. I ran to Dollar General and grabbed their $4 plunger. That thing was so flimsy it bent sideways on the second push. Water splashed all over Dave's bathroom floor and I had to use his wife's expensive towels to clean it up. Dave was cool about it but I owe him a new toilet brush now. Anyone else ever had a cheap tool make a simple fix ten times worse?

@claire_young76 you gotta spend at least $15 on a plunger, the cheap ones are just toys.

That line about the cheap plunger bending sideways got me because the same thing happened to me with a garden hose spray nozzle from the same store. I was trying to water my tomatoes and the plastic connector cracked on the first twist, spraying water all over my neighbor's cat that was napping nearby. Now that cat runs every time she sees me with a watering can, and I still can't look my neighbor in the eye.
